Trezor hardware wallets do not use a traditional username/password login. Instead, access is granted by connecting your physical device and confirming actions on its secure screen. This guide explains how to "log in" to your wallet using Trezor Suite or supported web interfaces, and how to restore access if needed.
Quick overview
To access your wallet you will:
Connect your Trezor device to your computer or mobile device.
Open Trezor Suite (desktop or web) or a compatible wallet interface.
Enter your device PIN on the device when prompted and optionally use a passphrase.
Approve transactions and actions on the device’s screen to confirm they’re legitimate.
Step-by-step: Log in with Trezor Suite
Connect the device: Use the included USB cable (or OTG for mobile) to connect your Trezor.
Open Trezor Suite: Start the desktop app or visit the official web app. Choose Connect device.
Enter PIN on device: When prompted, input your PIN directly on the Trezor’s screen. The PIN is never entered into your computer — only the device itself.
Optional passphrase: If you enabled a passphrase, enter it when prompted. A passphrase creates a hidden wallet and acts as an extra recovery key (if lost, funds are inaccessible).
Access accounts: After authentication, your accounts and balances will appear in Suite. You can now send, receive, and manage assets — each outgoing transaction must be confirmed on the hardware screen.
Security tip: Always confirm addresses and amounts on the physical device screen. The device is the only trusted source for transaction details.
Lost device or forgot PIN
If your device is lost, stolen, or PIN is forgotten, you can restore your wallet on a new Trezor (or compatible hardware/software) using your recovery seed. Keep your recovery phrase safe and offline — it is the only way to regain access.
Using a passphrase
Passphrases provide an extra layer of protection by creating hidden wallets tied to the same recovery seed. Use passphrases carefully: if you forget the passphrase, the hidden wallet and funds are permanently inaccessible even with the recovery seed.
Best practices
Only download Trezor Suite from trezor.io.
Never enter your recovery phrase into a computer, phone, or website.
Use a strong PIN and consider a passphrase if you understand the risks and responsibilities.
Keep firmware updated via Trezor Suite and confirm updates on your device screen.
